Job Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for assisting customers with their projects which includes providing concepts and depth of scope to meet their goals. They are an integral part of the local operations team and able to perform multiple tasks including, but not limited to cost estimating, work planning and directing field activities. They are responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget. The Project Manager maintains positive customer relationships and are responsible for the complete management of the customers project including but not limited to acquiring the opportunity via sales efforts, preparing project quotes, managing all project logistics and the completion of project objectives to the full satisfaction of the customer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensures adherence to safety and compliance by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner
  • Works with customers to develop and implement solutions to meet their objectives
  • Plans, organizes, and coordinates all project activities
  • Communicates project functions to field teams and customers
  • Directs changes and provides solutions for all field work
  • Builds effective schedules for project work
  • Participate in site walks to gain full understanding of project scope
  • Prepares cost estimates for customer projects including the ability to effectively source all (labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, etc.) to meet project objectives
  • Manages project costs and ensures they are within budgetary expectations
  • Reviews employee time sheets and worksheets and ensures accurate invoicing and payroll
  • Identifies change conditions and prepares written change orders
  • Responsible for the submittal of accurate, timely and complete documentation
  • Responsible for positive financial performance

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • College degree and 3-8 total years of construction/environmental experience years, with 3 years managing projects preferred
  • GED with 7+ years of project experience and demonstrated project management experience
  • Knowledge of Safety, Human Resources, and administration
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Computer competency
  • Proven leadership and business acumen skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
  • Basic competence in subordinates’ duties and tasks

Compensation:  Commensurate with experience
