Job Summary:
Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, this is for a position that is primarily responsible for the operation and maintenance duties of the campus electrical systems in a semiconductor FAB. This position will also be required to perform a variety of facilities preventative and corrective maintenance activities in the areas of general building maintenance, plumbing, fire protection systems. Has a strong understanding of facilities plant maintenance and operation. This position is for A Shift (works every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other Wednesday - 7:00 AM - 7:06 PM).
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain, operate, and repair facilities systems and equipment according to specifications
- The primary function will be to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems including; Electrical switchgear and distribution systems in the medium and low voltage ranges, FLS systems, PLC and DCS control systems, and electro-mechanical systems
- Ensure systems are operating within specified parameters and respond to alarms accordingly
- Works with manufacturing on repairs to facilities infrastructure and other services to FAB tools and equipment
- Responsible to plan, identify and procure parts for repairs and preventive maintenance
- Makes periodic or special inspections (R&R) of the premise and equipment to determine equipment status and repair as necessary
- Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making recommendations
- Locates and leverages all types of equipment documentation
- Maintains and updates electrical documentation
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be actively licensed in the state of Oregon as: Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) or higher Electrical License (PJ,J,PS,S)
- Minimum of 5 years of electrical or related experience
- Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus
- Semiconductor experience is a plus
- Team oriented
- Able to work cooperatively to build and sustain positive and collaborative working relationships with peer technicians on all shifts as well as engineering and customers
- Individual initiative and self-motivated, able to work independently
- Ability to identify, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical problems
- Effective project management skills, strong ability to translate priorities into field decisions with the ability to exercise good judgment in the absence of specific direction
- Able to act independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments
- Able to perform work from a ladder or man lift
- Communicate well with both orally and in writing
- Ability to multi-task
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Competency and experience with CMMS programs
- MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills
- Experience operating Facilities systems from SCADA or DCS software programs for building automation
- Be able to interpret and work from detailed blueprints, P&IDs, drawings, sketches, technical manuals
Compensation: $45-50/hourly
