Assistant Project Coordinator

Job Summary: Aaken Corporation Electric is seeking a assistant Project Coordinator for full time, permanent work. Experience in the construction or electrical industry is greatly preferred. Great work environment with a fun team and all sorts of benefits!
Job Responsibilities:
* Ensuring that all of our crews provide quality workmanship. Systematic internal checks and QC processes are used and double-checked.
* Works under the direct supervision of an Aaken Project Manager on one or more civil projects
* Ensures daily job records are kept current and orderly, including daily reports, quantity tracking, testing and inspections, material certifications, etc.
* Perform document control duties, including management of submittals, RFI’s, correspondence, quality documents, and other project-related documents.
* Administers prime contracts and subcontracts; including document control, communications, payments, and schedule.
* Coordinate daily with field superintendent and foremen, learning the work and identifying issues, and daily job photo record.
* Assist with the management of subcontractors, suppliers, and other vendors from bid time to completion of contract.
* Daily overall job costing.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Must have a valid license and clean driving record
* Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
* Construction Management or equivalent job experience.
* Experience using project management software systems, electronic document control systems, file storage, and project scheduling using MS Project or Smart Sheets.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Preferred experience working in heavy civil contracts for public works and private owners for various job types, including site work, highway and road, utilities, airport, etc.
- Traffic signal/electrical industry experience a bonus.
- This experience can include summer internships.
Compensation: $50,000 to $80,000
