Carpenter

Job Summary:
Carpenter for residential remodeling. You will often be working alongside other carpenters and under a lead carpenter but as we have several jobs happening at any one time you will be working independently as well. Work will entail completing various carpentry tasks, communicating with lead carpenter on a daily basis, picking up materials for jobs, keeping storage clean and organized and keeping jobsite clean. We specialize in remodeling projects that are design and detail intensive within the city limits of Portland. They range from gut bathroom and kitchen remodels, to dormers and ADUs. We have a long track record as one of the top Portland area remodelers and want someone for the long haul. Growth opportunities available.

Job Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret plans, drawings and sketches
• Framing as it relates to remodeling baths, kitchens, additions and dormers
• Install cabinetry
• Install trim and other finish carpentry
• Install windows
• Install doors
• Weather barriers (felt/housewrap)
• Siding and exterior trim (patch and install new)
• Hang, tape and mud drywall on small jobs
• Complete take-offs and order materials
• Pick up materials for jobs
• Keep storage area clean and organized
• Maintain safe jobsite

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Must be organized, efficient and self-motivated
• Tools for carpentry tasks
• Vehicle
• Drug-free and non-smoker
• Clean driving record
• Must pass criminal background check

Compensation:  $25 - $37/hour
