Job Summary: Are you a skilled construction project manager with a strong understanding of project management principles and techniques, as well as effective change management processes? Can you serve as the liaison between internal and external partners, contractors and stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and consensus building, and to ensure accountability?

Multnomah County Facilities and Property Management is currently seeking a Construction Project Manager - Strategic Projects to oversee the development, planning, coordination, administration and implementation of major projects within established Master Plans/Master Schedules. You will set project goals and formally monitor the progress and quality of outcomes to ensure effective results. You will also serve as the primary information/technical resource for assigned staff and team members, and maintain technical project and compliance reports, records and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills
* Any combination of experience and training that likely would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: * At least five years of increasingly responsible experience related to construction project management, AND * Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university. (Additional relevant experience will be considered as a substitute for a degree.)

This position requires a valid driver license. All finalists must pass a criminal records check and professional reference check.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
* Project Management Certification (PMP) or other project management certification.
* Project management experience in commercial and/or government construction projects with values over $1M.
