Job Summary:
OpConnect builds and services EV charging stations from our Portland based facility and this is an exciting opportunity to build a future as part of the exciting EV movement. We are recruiting for technicians to assemble, repair and service EV charging stations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assemble electrical components to build EV charging stations
- Use web-based forms or file editors to configure software settings on EV chargers
- Test and package completed EV chargers
- Diagnose malfunctioning EV chargers, using remote diagnostics, test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of an issue and correct the problem
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Some experience assembling, installing and repairing electrical components (such as computing equipment, communication equipment or appliances) is a plus
- Some experience managing, supporting and deploying network infrastructures (wi-fi routers, switches) is desirable but not required - its useful to understand what we're doing when we configure a charger to connect to a wi-fi network for example
- Great communication and teamworking skills
- Experience using hand tools and tools such as wire strippers and crimpers is a plus
- Since EVs and EV charging are new technologies, a willingness to learn new things and contribute your ideas
Compensation:
- $22 hourly or more based on experience
