Job Summary: Fill your summer days with meaningful, varied and interesting work as Willowbrook Arts Camp's Facilities Manager! Work at our storage facilities and camp location in collaboration with the program director in managing all aspects of preparation, set up, management, take down, and inventorying camp equipment, tents and supplies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with vendors and program director to set up, maintain, take down, inventory and manage storage for entire camp infrastructure at a public park including: temporary chain link fencing around 3.5 acres, commercial tents and stages, sink systems with grey water management, garbage/recycling, etc
- Tow, lift, move, and/or place heavy equipment such as utility trailers, fencing, pottery wheels, bales of straw, water tanks, etc.
- Set up and maintain outdoor power cords, water systems using hoses and splitters, including two pottery sinks with traps to capture clay debris
- Work closely with maintenance staff to maintain camp assets and equipment throughout camp season to ensure good working order, identify need for repairs and replacement.
- Conduct daily inspections of all camp property, tents, water/sink systems, to ensure mechanical soundness and cleanliness; report issues promptly.
- Complete regular maintenance of gray water capture and removal systems using holding tanks
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Must have a love for working at an organization that prioritizes a safe and supportive learning environment for children
- Must be comfortable working within an active summer camp environment
- Must prioritize workplace safety with your own and others bodies
- Must be able to safely maneuver heavy items in a careful manner must pass background check and complete virtual pre camp training
- Ability to monitor assets for safety, maintenance, and repairs
- Trustworthy and honest
- Clean driving record and current driver's license
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with power tools, towing, plumbing, portable grey water management systems (ie RV tanks), operating heavy machinery, and light construction a plus
- Experience with assessing, selling or donating assets organization no longer needs
- Experience and/or interest in art, theater, music and/or ceramics a plus
Compensation: $26.00 - $30.00 DOE
