Job Responsibilities:

  • Direct crews on daily tasks and ensuring equipment is dispatched accordingly
  • Willingness to work in a safe matter in all aspects of each job; saw-cutting, excavation, compaction & final pavement restoration
  • Coordination with material suppliers for daily mix allocations
  • Supervise and cross-train individuals
  • Ability to adapt and work in various conditions and understanding requirements set forth by individual jurisdictions
  • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of field equipment
  • Operate equipment proficiently and with situational awareness
  • Willingness to collaborate and communicate with others
  • Complete job log sheets and daily submitting of crew time cards
  • Lead crews with an emphasis on safety and quality
  • Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
  • Ability to recognize inefficiencies and address them in the field
  • Ability to work weekends and occasional nights
  • Ability to travel to various worksites in Oregon and SW Washington
  • Ability to work long hours and in all weather conditions

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Asphalt Paving Experience: 3+ years
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Proficiency in construction/paving standards & equipment operation (rollers and screed)
  • Proficient in grading and ADA requirements
  • Leadership skills and teambuilding experience
  • Proficient in math and measurements

Preferred Skills and Qualifications: CDL - Class A

Compensation: 36-49.74 per hour
