Job Summary: Maintain and support a portfolio of commercial properties by performing routine inspections, minor repairs, preventative maintenance, vendor coordination, and ensuring each property is clean, safe, and professionally maintained. This hands-on role also includes documenting property conditions, communicating with tenants and vendors, and assisting with property management administration, offering a clear path to grow into commercial property management.

Job Responsibilities:
-Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance at commercial properties to ensure buildings are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
-Complete minor repairs including painting, drywall patching, door hardware, lighting, basic plumbing troubleshooting, signage, and general property upkeep.
-Coordinate with contractors and vendors by providing site access, monitoring work, documenting progress, and following up on completed projects.
-Conduct property walkthroughs, identify maintenance and safety issues, and communicate recommended actions to the Property Manager.
-Document inspections, maintenance activities, and property conditions using photos, reports, email, and Excel tracking tools.
-Assist with work orders, maintenance schedules, recurring inspections, and other property management administrative tasks.
-Communicate professionally with tenants, vendors, and team members while providing excellent customer service.
-Support special projects, move-ins/move-outs, seasonal maintenance, emergency response, and property improvement initiatives.
-Maintain organized tools, equipment, and work areas while following all safety procedures and company standards.
-Develop the knowledge and skills needed to grow into a broader commercial property management role.

Required Skills and Qualifications: We're looking for a reliable, self-motivated individual with practical building maintenance or related experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency with basic computer programs such as Outlook and Excel. Candidates should be comfortable safely using common hand tools, ladders, and basic maintenance equipment to perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance, while working independently and providing excellent service to tenants and vendors. A valid driver's license, reliable insured transportation for daily travel between properties, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications: We are seeking candidates with practical, hands-on experience in commercial building maintenance, facilities, construction, property maintenance, or a related field. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of general building systems, is comfortable troubleshooting and completing a wide variety of maintenance tasks, works well independently, and is interested in expanding their skills into commercial property management and facilities operations.

Compensation: $24 - $28.85 per hour
