Facilities Maintenance Technician CL

Job Summary: The City of Portland is recruiting to fill current and future Facilities Maintenance Technician-CL vacancies across the city. Facilities Maintenance Technician-CL's perform work in the following bureaus: Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) and the Bureau of Environmental Services (BES).

Job Responsibilities: In this role, you will perform ongoing maintenance and repairs on heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, lighting and electrical outlets, and a wide range of building equipment. You will apply your mechanical and technical expertise to identify issues that could impair system performance and complete timely repairs to keep facilities operating smoothly. You will also respond to urgent equipment failures, restoring operations as quickly as possible. Additional responsibilities include a variety of building maintenance tasks requiring diverse mechanical skills. Technicians use mobile devices to monitor HVAC equipment and manage maintenance schedules, and may also provide training or guidance to an apprentice.

Compensation: $42.69 - $47.50 Hourly
