Seasonal Public Works

Job Summary: The City of Fairview is accepting applications for a Seasonal/Temporary Public Works staff to perform a variety of duties relating to landscape, landscape construction, and general maintenance work. Assists with maintenance and related tasks for streets, water distribution and treatment, sewer collection, as needed. Must perform all assigned tasks safely. The season is expected to run from Mid-May to October and not to exceed 600 hours. Regular weekend work is to be expected.

Job Responsibilities: Watering flower planters across the City. Maintenance and upkeep of City parks, including emptying trash cans. Painting (of sidewalk curbs) and grass mowing of City parks.

Required Skills and Qualifications: Comfortable working outdoors, driving a City truck, some familiarity with hand tools, lawn equipment and painting. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn on the job, reliable and punctual attendance, respect for safety rules and ability to work together as part of a team.

Compensation: $21.27 Per Hour
