Pay: $20-$25 hourly depending on experience and skills & Health Benefits

Hours: 32-40 hours a week. Overtime available during busy seasons. The more skills the employee has the more hours that will be available. Work hours semi flexible to accommodate business and employee preference. Between Monday-Saturday 8am-6pm.

Job Description: iRentPDX is a Portland company. We have been in the business of managing and maintaining our own rental properties for 40 years. We offer flexible hours and create a positive working environment. This position would start off working along side our tenured maintenance technicians to ensue understanding of expectation and would become independent when we are confident the job can be completed successfully. This job includes preparing rentals for the newresidents including but not limited to: interior and exterior painting, minor plumbing (ie unclogging drains, replacing sink parts) and minor electrical (ie switching outlet covers or replacing light fixtures). Replacing flooring, appliance repair ect.
All of our staff have been employed with us for more than 3 years, with many employed for over 10.
This job contributes to the success of iRentPDX by maintaining the day-to-day operations and to assume responsibility for maintaining the physical asset of the property under the direction of the Property Manager.
Background check will be performed.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable vehicle large enough to transport supplies to job sites. We will provide a maintenance vehicle to drive during work hours but the employee must be prepared to drive their own vehicle when the work vehicle is undergoing maintenance and repairs.
  • Due to the nature of the job and entering resident homes employee must be willing to comply with current mask regulations as the company mandates.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience painting and minor maintenance experience.
  • Pay depending on skill level.
  • Employer is willing to do some on the job training but employee must be meeting the job expectations by the 90 day check in.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO INCLUDE (but not limited to):
• Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned.
• Complete make-ready process of vacant apartments as directed by the Property Manager.
• Work within expense limits established. Submit receipts for purchases in a timely manner with all requested information.
• Maintain inventory controls for cost effective operations.
• Schedule and complete the "Preventative Maintenance Program".
• Coordinate special projects as directed by the Property Manager.
• Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors.
• Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned.
• Complete grounds work as directed by Property Manager which may include picking up trash, sweeping curb and dumpster areas and maintaining landscaping beds and other areas.
• Responsible for alerting the Property Manager of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that have taken place or that may occur.
• Complete payroll time sheets and mileage reimbursement and submit to supervisor as determined
• Maintain a professional courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
• Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State and Federal guidelines.
• Ensure compliance of all work related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner.
• Follow established company policies and those outlined in the Employee Guidebook.
• This job requires exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
• Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined.
