Resident Engineer – Consultant Projects

Job Summary: Bring your project management experience to our team in Portland! In this role, you will be responsible for projects in both design and construction throughout the Portland metro area, Mt. Hood, Columbia River Gorge and Hood River County. You will work with engineers, technicians, surveyors and clerical staff who will assist you in your role as the contract administrator for construction and consultant services contracts. You will be fully responsible for directing all activities necessary in the development of outsourced contracts for highly complex highway construction projects and you’ll act as the agency’s project manager for outsourced and internally designed projects. The employee in this position has the option to work from a remote location for up to 3 days per week, with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• A valid Professional Engineer's (PE) license in civil, structural, or transportation-related engineering and three (3) years of journey level professional engineer experience. Note: Three (3) years of journey level professional engineer is considered licensed experience only. If registered in another state, successful applicants will be required to obtain professional registration in Oregon within six months of hire.
• Special qualifications: Driving is an essential function of this position. You must have a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s). Your license does not have to be issued in Oregon to be considered.

Compensation: $7,981 - $11,752 per month
