Job Summary:
This is an Apprenticeship Program:

  • 4 Years
  • 7,200 OJT Hours
  • 4 Years of Related Training Schooling

Job Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and install sheet metal mechanical systems.
  • Working with precision tools to cut, fit, assemble, and weld metal components.
  • Install siding, roof gutters, skylights, restaurant equipment, and outdoor signs.
  • Work is performed within a factory setting, commercial buildings, or on construction job sites.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proof of Age (ID or Driver’s License)
  • High School Completion or GED Equivalent
  • Math: One year of high school algebra, integrated math 2, or equivalent post-high school algebra course(s) with grade of C or better, or equivalent math placement test scores.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Are you comfortable with heights and working on scaffolding and ladders?
  • Do you enjoy working with your hands and seeing the product develop?
  • Are you precise when measuring something?
  • Are you able to make quick calculations and decisions?
  • Can you lift up to 50 lbs?

Compensation:  $19.25 - $35.00 hourly
(minimum starting wage to average journey worker wage)
