Job Summary:
This is an Apprenticeship Program:
- 4 Years
- 7,200 OJT Hours
- 4 Years of Related Training Schooling
Job Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and install sheet metal mechanical systems.
- Working with precision tools to cut, fit, assemble, and weld metal components.
- Install siding, roof gutters, skylights, restaurant equipment, and outdoor signs.
- Work is performed within a factory setting, commercial buildings, or on construction job sites.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proof of Age (ID or Driver’s License)
- High School Completion or GED Equivalent
- Math: One year of high school algebra, integrated math 2, or equivalent post-high school algebra course(s) with grade of C or better, or equivalent math placement test scores.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Are you comfortable with heights and working on scaffolding and ladders?
- Do you enjoy working with your hands and seeing the product develop?
- Are you precise when measuring something?
- Are you able to make quick calculations and decisions?
- Can you lift up to 50 lbs?
Compensation: $19.25 - $35.00 hourly
(minimum starting wage to average journey worker wage)
