Tile Apprentice

Job Summary:
This is an Apprenticeship Program:

• 4 years
• 8000 OJT hours
• 4 Years of related training coursework

Job Responsibilities:

• This trade involves the cleaning of surfaces to prepare for tile; this includes interior walls, showers, tubs, counter tops, floors, stairs, and structure exteriors.
• The finisher sets up materials and supplies; this includes mixing mortar.
• The Tile Setter trade involves meticulous installation of ceramic, marble, and granite tiles. Tiles can be installed in homes or commercial buildings and can be done in on the interior or exterior of these structures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proof of Age (ID or Driver’s License)

• Are you comfortable with heights and working on scaffolding and ladders?
• Do you enjoy physical work? Bending, lifting, and standing
• Are you meticulous in your professional life?
• Do you enjoy working with your hands and seeing the progress of your work?
• Do people say you are a visual or creative person?

Compensation:  $14.80 - $30.05
(minimum starting wage to average journey worker wage)
