Shop Helper

Job Summary:
Engineering and manufacturing firm seeking a helper who can assist production staff in preparing product for production welding.

Job Responsibilities:

• Steel prep before and after welding
• Driving a forklift
• Use of various power tools and fabrication equipment
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
• Be able to prioritize duties
• Have good communication skills
• Knowledge of structural steel shapes, fabrication layout, measuring tapes
• Must be able to work with a team and independently
• Must be able to take direction from several individuals
• Must be familiar with the use of power tools such as angle grinder, die grinder, drills, and other equipment

Compensation:  

• $15-$20 per hour to start, with room for growth and advancement to $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
• 40 hours per week, depending on workload, with occasional overtime
